Nandi Hills
It is located approximately 65 km from Bangalore Karnataka. It is a good idea to ride your bike to Nandi Hills to get the best view of the entire journey to Nandi Hills. This place is best visited in June-July, when it is covered by dense fog. However, you should be able to see the sunrise even though the fog is thick. This is where you can enjoy the stunning view from Nandi Hills. For a pleasant climb to Nandi Hills, you can start at 4am. You will find nurseries, farms, and pine trees close by. This was Tipu Sultan’s summer retreat. The dense fog and trees make it a great place to view from. You can find many spots for small treks and also have numerous spots to capture some amazing photos.
Kumara Parvatha Camping
Kumara parvatha can be found in Karnataka’s Western Ghats. It is also known by the Pushpagiri hills. It is approximately 5624 feet high above the sea level. The capital city of Bangalore is approximately 260 km away. The trek is 22 km long and can be done on a weekend. You can either plan your trip by bus or car. Kukke Subramanya Swami Temple is the base point for the trek.
The Forest Office will provide a suitable area for establishing a camping area. You can have a meal at Battaramane. The forest department has set up a large base camp for visitors to this area. This open grassland is covered in greenery. You could be charged between Rs350 and 400. Additional charges may be levied depending on how much plastic you bring into the Hills.
Makalidurga Trek
The hill fort located in Makalidurga. It is located 60 km north of Bangalore. It is 4 km trek to the top. You must obtain permission and a pass from Karnataka Forest Department before you can trek up this hill. The problem is that they only allow a limited number of people per day. You can book ahead of the day. Once you have parked your car, cross the railway track to reach the top of the hill. You will find markings on rocks to help you navigate towards the top of the hill. You will see a large lake from the top and lush green with grass everywhere.
Ittapanahalli Forest hiking trails
This is situated 70 km from Bangalore. It is located in Doddaballapur. It takes approximately 2 hours to get there. Except for the last 2 km, road conditions are excellent to get to this area. It is quite easy to do the forest hike here and it would only take you half a day. You may see a small waterfall during the monsoon. You can still visit the place if your interest is in nature, as there is not much to do.
Ramanagara Hill Trek & Camping
Sholay Hills is another name for it. You must first purchase a ticket before you can enter the trekking area. It is very enjoyable and studded with small temples on the climb towards the hill. The path to the summit starts from here. You can take in the stunning views from many different points. Once you reach the summit’s near point, use the railings to climb up.
